Sacks Wilner Presents: The Upstander
May 16 @ 7:00 am - 8:00 pm
FreeThe Nazis had destroyed Max Glauben’s family business, upended their rights, decimated their neighborhood, and ultimately murdered Max’s mother, father, and brother. Max channeled grit, determination, and a fortuitous knack for manufacturing airplane parts to outlast six horrific concentration camps in his quest to survive. After getting to know him as a teenager on a trip to Poland, Jori Epstein, a sports reporter for USA TODAY covering the Dallas Cowboys and the NFL, helped Max tell his story in The Upstander: How Surviving the Holocaust Sparked Max Glauben’s Mission to Dismantle Hate. Join us as Jori presents Max’s life and relays his powerful commitment to actively thwarting hate and galvanizing resilience.
The event is free and open to the public.
