DESCRIPTION:Jewish Family & Children’s Service of Greater Mercer County (JFCS) invites you to the 3rd Annual Wheels for Meals\, bike ride to fight hunger\, taking place on Sunday morning\, October 15\, 2023. \nNow more than ever\, food is a serious need in our region\, where 1 in 12 individuals in Mercer County are hungry. The more immediate and pressing issue is the annual inflation rate in the US\, which has risen to the highest level in 40 years. The families we serve were further disadvantaged starting in March\, when SNAP Emergency Allotments that were authorized by Congress in response to the COVID19 pandemic\, were discontinued. It is estimated that low-income households will see an average monthly decrease of $82 per person once the SNAP Emergency Allotments ended. \nRoute Options: 50 mile\, 25 mile\, 10 mile\, 3 mile
